Registered Technologist Needed for The Neurology Group of Bergen County in Ridgewood,NJ
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated NCV technician to join our team. As a NCV technician, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnostic evaluation and support during the EMG test. This position requires knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology on neurological conditions.
Duties:
- Perform nerve conduction velocities under the supervision of our physicians.
- Collect patient information and medical history
- Prepare patients for EMG test and explain the process to them
- Assist with documentation
- Operate and maintain medical equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the tests
- Collaborate with our physicians to provide accurate and timely results
Qualifications:
- Certification or accreditation as an NCV technician
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with diagnostic evaluations on neurological symptoms/conditions
- Proficient in operating Natus/Synergy medical equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
